Profile

EOHCB is a non profitable Employer's Organisation registered in terms of the Labour Relations Act. 1965 (upgraded 2005) Section 66.

We continuously strive to provide our members with a full range of services relating to labour matters and endeavour to address the needs of our members with integrity, professionalism and sound business practise.

EOHCB operates on a National basis. Southern Gauteng, Northern Gauteng, Western Cape, Kwazulu Natal, Port Elizabeth, East London, North West and Freestate. Each division is governed by a Collective Agreement, the contents of which are periodically renegotiated on your behalf with UASA ("The Union")

EOHCB is a member of the OMC (Organisation Mondial Coiffure), an International world hairdressing body that organises events such as the World Hairdressing Championships.

The overall objectives of EOHCB are:

  • To provide sound advice to our members
  • To ensure compliance with the Collective Agreement
  • To protect the interests of members in the collective bargaining process
  • To practice the role of Agent/Representative in all matters where employee representations are involved, or wish to become involved
  • To represent members in all matters arising from labour disputes of whatever nature
  • To keep members informed of changes in Labour legislation
  • To be sensitive to the requirements of all our members
  • To assist in the preparation of all documentation in the workplace
  • To act as a positive catalyst between Employers and Employees
  • To influence industry related education and training
  • To encourage excellent business ethics and standards
  • To recognize and award service excellence

OMC WORLD HAIRDRESSING CHAMPIONSHIP NOVEMBER 2010

South Africa participated in the OMC World Hairdressing Championships on the 7th and 8th November in Paris, France. The Services Sector Education and Training Authority was the main sponsor, together with the Employer Organisation for Hairdressing, Cosmetology and Beauty. L’Oreal GHD , Joico, Wella and Revlon, assisted with products for the use of competitors during training as well as for the competition. Wahl gave everyone of the team members a Blue bag that we all used as hand luggage
